Projects I Have Worked On

Marketing Management

This project helped me understand the critical role that integrated marketing communications (IMC) plays in aligning advertising with a company's overall marketing strategy. As a group, we analyzed Godiva’s position in different global markets and learned how consumer behavior, cultural differences, and regional market trends impact branding decisions.

I evaluated Godiva’s current strategy and assessed whether a single global campaign was appropriate, ultimately recognizing the value of localized messaging in maintaining market relevance.Through financial analysis, I learned how to measure the viability of marketing decisions.

Overall, the project deepened my understanding of how important it is for advertising to be both strategically aligned and market-sensitive.

Strategic Management

I evaluated a case study on ethics which was a great way to apply terms that I learned in class into a realistic scenario. This case challenged me to think about what it means to uphold my values when it is not easy. It reminded me that integrity sometimes comes with a cost, and that being ethical does not always align with what is comfortable.

This presentation was a reminder that transparency and honestly are extremely important, no matter what field I am in. I enjoyed

Integrated Marketing Communications

This presentation was one of the most valuable experiences I had during my time at James Madison University. My group and I completed a semester-long project for a local business, White Oak Lavender Farm.

We were tasked with developing a year-long marketing plan, including deliverables, promotional strategies, campaign timelines, and more. It was my first time creating a completely marketing-focused presentation from start to finish, and it gave me a real sense of what it is like to work with a client and built a strategy that aligns with their business goals.

I especially appreciated that this was not just a simulation. We were working with a real company, which made the work feel so much more rewarding.

Over the Spring 2024 semester, I had the opportunity to work with a group of eight students to create an original product and develop a fully detailed business plan from the ground up. We had to think like entrepreneurs and balance creativity with strategy.

It tested my time management, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills. Seeing the final plan come together was one of the most rewarding academic moments I have had. It gave me a strong foundation in cross-functional thinking and a better understanding of how different areas of business work together to create a successful product and company.
